Reprocessing and production

of secondary raw materials

At SEG's Materials Sorting and Production Centre things come full circle; materials recovered from the demanufacturing stages are processed to yield high-grade, quality-controlled secondary raw materials that can be immediately reintroduced into the production cycle, for example in the manufacture of sandwich panels for the interior liners of new refrigerator units.

The technology used in the Materials Sorting and Production Centre has been specially developed by SEG for the task in hand. Steel, aluminium and polystyrene are separated from the incoming material streams. The polyurethane foam that was used as insulation material is processed to yield ÖKO-Pur, SEG's oil and chemical binder product.
