Collection and storage

The ecological demanufacture of end-of-life refrigerators or freezers begins with the collection and storage of the obsolete appliances. The transport containers, designed by SEG, are equipped inside with special fixing straps which ensure that the sensitive cooling circuit on each appliance is not damaged during transport, thereby preventing the uncontrolled loss of CFCs to the atmosphere. The storage containers are leakproof, TÜV -tested and meet the requirements stipulated in German water management legislation. The containers can be hoisted and transported by any transport vehicle that is fitted with crane-and-hook hoisting gear.
